Remove the gel from its packaging

Remove the cap from the top of the applicator

Grasp the base of the applicator, press the plunger with your fingers, and gently insert the applicator into the vagina until you feel comfortable. Sitting or lying on your back with your knees bent is the most convenient position for insertion.

Press the plunger to expel the contraceptive gel. Hold the plunger in place and remove the applicator from the vagina. After use, discard the applicator, plunger and packaging. Do not flush down the toilet or reuse.

The contraceptive gel takes effect immediately upon use and remains effective for up to one hour.

Always use it after each sexual intercourse. Reapplication is required even if intercourse occurs within one hour of the first use.
